JEFF FLTC NEW B(6) JPEG.jpg

When I was ten I went on a class trip to “The City”.  Even though I lived in Queens New York, I never felt as if I were in the city until I was in Manhattan.

My teacher Mrs. Trotter brought along her Instamatic camera and let us all take photos.  I laid on the sidewalk to get a shot of a building being reflected off of the glass facade of another.  When we returned to school Mrs. T told my mother what I had done.  I was afraid mom would be angry I had laid on the sidewalks of New York in my “good clothes”.

When Mrs. T said, “he should be a photographer”, I saw in my mom’s face that I wasn't going to be chastised but encouraged.   I've loved photography from those early days till now.  I’m always excited to find that feeling of; “wow, this would make a great shot!”  I hope to find that feeling again with you.  Feel free to drop a line with any questions or comments you may have.
